Q: How do I find the camp?
Q: What time can we get in to the camp on Thursday?
A: The grounds open at 2PM on Thursday. You can arrive as early as 12:00 if you know where to go but staff will not be on site yet.
Q: Is there a gate?
A: Yes, and it is closed and locked between 8PM and 8AM
Q: Do Cell Phones Work at Nanaimo Lakes?
A: No. We are way out of cell coverage area and your phone wont work, regardless of what carrier you are with. The nearest coverage is approximately 20 minutes back towards Nanaimo near the intersection of Nanaimo River Road and South Forks Road.
Q: What about emergencies?

Q: What do we need to bring?
A: Everything you would need for any camp out. All supplies, equipment and food is the responsibility of the attendee.
Q: Where is the nearest store?

Q: is there water at the camp?
A: No. You are responsible to bring your own drinking and cooking water. However, the camp organisers provide two 50 gallon drums of water connected to a portable sink and hot water heater for cleaning and doing dishes.
Q: Do I need to participate in the potluck on Saturday?
A: Not at all. We understand that some people have special dietary needs and that’s just fine.
Q: What about smokers?
A: Smoking in the general camp area in not permitted and a designated smoking area will be set up.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes! While Dogs are permitted at the camp out, we ask that only well socialised and behaved dogs be let off leash. Be prepared to scoop the poop!
Q: What happens if I have registered and paid but can no longer attend?
A: Cancellation and Refund Policy: If cancellation request received before May 15th: %100 Refund If cancellation request received before June 1st: %50 Refund If cancellation request received after June 25th: No Refund. Refund requests may take up to 30 days to process.
Q: What time do we have to be out of the camp on Sunday?
A: Everyone must be completely out of the camp ground by 12PM Sunday.
